From understanding your customers more deeply and meaningfully to solving business and organisational problems, we can help.
We run learning programs that teach design thinking to both young students and businesses alike.
Yong Yee is an avid design thinking practitioner with a strong belief in understanding through empathy. She started the journey of unlearning back in 2012, when she created content for a design thinking toolkit, followed by an interactive toolkit to empathise with the homeless community. In 2014, she founded a homeless community organising initiative called Ubuntu Malaysia.
For the last five years, she had the opportunities of leading research and consultancy projects with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Economic Planning Unit (EPU) of the Prime Ministry’s Office, Accenture Consulting and Tandemic.
Chooi Yen helps businesses deliver better value by using design thinking, a people-first approach to solving problems. She has facilitated the growth of social enterprises as Programme Director at Social Enterprise Alliance, and as a mentor on Yunus&Youth, an initiative endorsed by Nobel Peace laureate Muhammad Yunus.
To date, she has conducted design thinking programs for groups such as the British Council Malaysia, the Youth Trust Foundation (MyHarapan), the US Embassy, University of Malaya, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), and the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC).
It was a great pleasure working with both Yong Yee and Chooi Yen on this design thinking workshop. We were impressed by their level of professionalism and knowledge in this approach. Of course, our students benefited a ton too as they managed to utilize the tools, which enhanced their presentations greatly. Thank you, Design Tinker!
